Friday April 27th sees Style Band Tokyo and Tokyo Indie come together for one very special night of music. Joining them for the evening will be UK, electro-punk, 3-piece - TEETH who are on their first visit to Japan. 2011 saw them release their 1st album, "Whatever" on Moshi Moshi Records, which included the standout track "See Spaces" and went on to be featured on Kitsune's Maison Compilation 10. Their popular sound has led to tours with bands such as Is Tropical and Sleigh Bells whilst also seeing them appear alongside PJ Harvey and Factory Floor. Local support will be provided by Jesse Ruins, whose hazy, post-chillwave brand of synth pop, has seen them lauded on popular international blogs and marked as ones to watch in the UK's Guardian Newspaper. Also on the bill are relative newcomers Mop of Head, who's blend of rock, dance and on stage energy has seen them turn heads and led to appearances at major Japanese festivals such as Fuji Rock and Countdown Japan. This event sees Style Band Tokyo continue its long tradition of bringing foreign and Japanese artists together and pushing the burgeoning Japanese indie music scene further along. Meanwhile as a media site focusing on both Western and Japanese artists and featuring many of these in parties of their own, Tokyo Indie shares a similar ethos. That said it's inevitable that these two should choose to come together for one explosive night of music at Shibuya's Underdeer Lounge on April 27th - you'd be a fool to miss it!
